Makes you think that we should slow down NOW!
(Sounds kinda weird coming from a race car driver doesn’t it?).
We also need to change our perspective!
a few thoughts come to mind…
1. Technology/computers will never be able to establish a relationship with God to know his love or will for us. No matter how great/powerful technology/computers get – it doesn’t compare to God. Technology/computers are also designed by men – [ you can giggle like a schoolgirl here ]. I see technology as the idol/anti-christ of today because its pulling our attention away from personal relationships with others/God.
2. Why are we doing this? Are we doing this to help ourselves/others or maybe to hurt others. Either way, people have already used technology to hurt – we are not responsible enough as a race to handle whats coming.
3. Other countries are quickly becoming dominant in the technology/information space but those countries are still in many cases corrput and/or non-democratic. They will use their people for their own agendas.
Finally
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference – AKA The Serenity Prayer
Trevor, not sure what your take it on it – sorry if my response was a downer. Kim reminded me that technology can and has been used for great things – I was just reminding myself not to lose ourselves to it.
