In 18 days me and seven other people will be hitting the road on tour with our non-for-profit organization Remedy For This Heart to raise money to get a homeless friend of ours off the streets. We have been planning this tour for months and had raised the better part of $8000.00 to cover costs. We did so, so that every penny that we make on this tour would go to help our friend. Now here is where it takes a twist. Two weeks ago I got a call from one of our major donors saying that the $5000.00 they had committed was no longer there and they were not going to be able to help. I immediately went into panic and stress mode. About a week into some intense prayer I began to pick up the phone and ask to meet with four different people that I felt God had laid on my heart to talk to. Now I will spare you all of the details leading to today, but as of today we have raised almost $7000.00 in one week. Not only did we raise what we needed, but now we have more than we needed and will be able to use that to help our friend. Today was a day spent doing counting, ledger work and accounting. What I learned was that in my greatest times of despair and need, God always provides way beyond my own measure.

Trevor

What makes me...well...me? There are a lot of things that make up the complexities of who I am. I love God, my wife, my two little girls, and all types of crazy interesting people. I love good conversation, a bit of controversy, rebellion with a cause, and hot green tea. I love to write, read, take photos, and spend time on my patio with good friends and my beautiful family. Scripture confuses, perplexes, intrigues, and floors me. It brings me hope, joy, and frustration. I work for one of the greatest churches in the country with the greatest team ever assembled. We will challenge you and your staff to a duel on the playground at 3:10 on any afternoon. This space is for us to conversate and share thoughts on life, love, creativity, and ministry. Welcome to my little nook of the web. I hope you will come in, take off your shoes and stay awhile.
