PAPPARAZZI MARKETING…

nikon

Nikon took its cue from our celebrity-obsessed paparazzi culture to launch the brand's D700 model in Korea. At a busy Seoul subway station, Nikon mounted a huge interactive, light-box billboard displaying life-like images of paparazzi. Huddled together as if at a premiere, the "paps" appear to be jostling and competing for the best celebrity snap. The celebrities in this case were the passersby, who automatically triggered a deluge of flashing camera lights as they walked past the billboard. The accidental superstars then followed the red carpet all the way out of the station and into a mall - directly into the store where they could purchase the new D700. Mission accomplished. - Lisa Evans What do you think is the most genius marketing scheme you have ever seen? … [Read more...]

VINYL AND DREAMS CAFE…

This morning I had the opportunity to catch up with an old friend and start a new journey with a new friend. I met up at the Dream Cafe in downtown Dallas to hang with Jeff Truitt and Andrew Shepherd. Jeff is the head of the creative arts team at an incredible church here in the DFW area and Andrew is one of the best photographers in the region. We had brunch at 11:00. I thought that I would order something small and get the granola and yogurt with a side of fruit. What I did not know was is that I was ordering a bucket-o-granola and yogurt and a vast array of fruit in a bowl the size of my face. Needless to say it was great and I ate every bite. It is nice to reconnect and connect with people. I then came home and have been pondering a heavy decision and listening to a little Ryan Adams on vinyl. What has your Friday held for you? Hope you are well today. … [Read more...]

The past few weeks have been interestingly busy to say the least. In fact I have barely had time to think about posting anything here at all. Just thought for now I would share some of our life. We went to the museum the other day and before we left we did a little impromptu photo shoot with the girls outside. Last night Ella decided it was time that she started cooking a little, so she made her own PB&J sandwich for the first time ever. So with that said...here ya go!!! … [Read more...]

MR. & MRS. CLOWER

Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of some great friends of mine. Megan and Michael sealed their love for one another yesterday among friends and family. Twelve hours of shooting and running around, but it was worth every second. It was one of the most laid back weddings I have ever had the chance to be a part of. Today I have 1165 pictures to sift through, but this is the first I edited and I like where these pics are headed. Be looking for more soon. … [Read more...]
