This morning I had the opportunity to catch up with an old friend and start a new journey with a new friend. I met up at the Dream Cafe in downtown Dallas to hang with Jeff Truitt and Andrew Shepherd. Jeff is the head of the creative arts team at an incredible church here in the DFW area and Andrew is one of the best photographers in the region. We had brunch at 11:00. I thought that I would order something small and get the granola and yogurt with a side of fruit. What I did not know was is that I was ordering a bucket-o-granola and yogurt and a vast array of fruit in a bowl the size of my face. Needless to say it was great and I ate every bite. It is nice to reconnect and connect with people. I then came home and have been pondering a heavy decision and listening to a little Ryan Adams on vinyl. What has your Friday held for you? Hope you are well today.
VINYL AND DREAMS CAFE…

What makes me...well...me? There are a lot of things that make up the complexities of who I am. I love God, my wife, my two little girls, and all types of crazy interesting people. I love good conversation, a bit of controversy, rebellion with a cause, and hot green tea. I love to write, read, take photos, and spend time on my patio with good friends and my beautiful family. Scripture confuses, perplexes, intrigues, and floors me. It brings me hope, joy, and frustration. I work for one of the greatest churches in the country with the greatest team ever assembled. We will challenge you and your staff to a duel on the playground at 3:10 on any afternoon. This space is for us to conversate and share thoughts on life, love, creativity, and ministry. Welcome to my little nook of the web. I hope you will come in, take off your shoes and stay awhile.
