This past week I got an invite to try out the new site that puts all of your social media into one spot. It is called Flavors.me and I love the flexibility it gives you to direct people to all of your stuff in one place. You can sign up for an invite and quickly get people connected to you and you to them. I like that you can customize and make it your own. They are also adding more options and media everyday. Keep in mind that it is in beta format, but love that we can connect to more people in an even more efficient way. Hope you enjoy. … [Read more...]

THE GOTCHER FAMILY…

This morning I awoke to the sound of my alarm at 5:00am. My girls woke from their sleep when I awoke them at 5:30am and then off to school we went and we were there by 6:00am. Now you may be asking what on earth would lead me to be out of bed that early and taking my kids to school before any other kid would be there. Well...quite simply...doing a family photo shoot for one of my favorite families on the planet. Rob and Anna Gotcher have become two of my favorite people. God has placed them in my wife and I's life in the last couple years and I would do just about anything to make sure that they are taken care of. With that said, I have had the opportunity on many occasions to take photos for Rob's band and for Rob's family. Today was another one of those occasions. Hope you enjoy these shots from today. … [Read more...]

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE (SOME GOOD FRIENDS) HOME…

Yesterday I had the privilege to spend the better part of my day with one of my favorite families ever. I don't know if you have ever had a friendship with people that make you feel as if everything in life is safe, but that is what I get with the Copeland's. The night before my wife and I ate dinner and laughed with them into the dark of night. Yesterday we picked right back up where we left off and had so much fun shooting pictures, eating pizza, playing music, and just flat out enjoying life. I was so excited to edit these pictures I stayed up late last night and woke up early today to get them done. Who knew that I would get 50+ edits. Here are a few that I am pumped about. LOVE THE CHAOS IN THE BACKGROUND ON THIS ONE … [Read more...]

I ALMOST PUNCHED CHAD IN THE MOUTH!!!

I set up my mobile office at my usual desk in the local Starbucks. It is the table right across from where the barista gives you your drink when it has been prepared and right in front of where everyone doctors their caffein fix in a cup. I like this spot, because it causes me to pay attention to people. It is the only table in the place where people are continually in your space. I walked in on this particular morning longing to be a relationship initiator, but I could not seem to figure out how. I struck up a conversation with a mom holding her 14 month, but that went sour when I mistook her little girl for a little boy. She quickly grabbed her "triple tall whatever" and scurried away. Then I had a thought... What if... What if I could encourage everyone coming in without them actually knowing it was me? Now I know that that is not me building relationships, but at least people would have some encouragement. So I devised my plan. I walked up to Chad, the morning barista, and gave … [Read more...]

MISS…

Today as I reflect, I am simply missing some of my homeless friends. I think about them every time that it rains, gets cold, gets hot, or unbearable in some way shape or form. When I am hungry...I think of them. When I am thirsty...I think of them. When I am cold...I think of them. Today...I miss my homeless friends. … [Read more...]

THANKS FOREVER…

PSALM 30: A psalm of David, sung at the dedication of the temple- I praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to you for help, and you restored my health. You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death. Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name. His anger lasts for a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may go on all night, but joy comes with the mourning. When I was prosperous I said, "Nothing can stop me now!" Your favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered. I cried out to you, O Lord. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying, "What will you gain if I die, if I sink down in the grave? Can my dust praise you from the grave? Can it tell the world of your faithfulness? Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me. Help me, O Lord." You have turned my mourning … [Read more...]
