MR. & MRS. CLOWER

pcg1

Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of some great friends of mine. Megan and Michael sealed their love for one another yesterday among friends and family. Twelve hours of shooting and running around, but it was worth every second. It was one of the most laid back weddings I have ever had the chance to be a part of. Today I have 1165 pictures to sift through, but this is the first I edited and I like where these pics are headed. Be looking for more soon. … [Read more...]

HOPEFUL HOMELESS & JUSTICE+REVIVAL

Again yesterday I was back in downtown Dallas shooting pics for the Justice+Revival that is coming to DFW in November. This time I took my former homeless friend Kyle with me to help me get into some circles I could not get into myself. I was able to hang with some guys that I have had the opportunity to hang with in the past and they let me take a few photos for my project. There is power and hope behind these rugged and life filled eyes. Please become aware that there are others who we can help and sometimes it takes nothing more than treating them like human beings. SHAUN AND ELISA

Last night I had the opportunity to shoot an incredible wedding for some of my favorite people. Shaun and Elisa got married in Vegas awhile back and they decided to do a really cool backyard ceremony with some friends and family. When we started the ceremony at 7:30 it was 98 degrees. However, that did not stop everyone from having a great time and the bride and groom from having an incredible wedding day. More pictures to come, but here are some of my favs of the night. To the couple...Love ya both and could see that the love you have for each other will last a lifetime. … [Read more...]

Today I took a little four hour drive and hike up the Boreas Pass here in Colorado. It is this beautiful winding dirt road through the mountains. I drove slow, stopped often, and took many pictures. I packed a lunch, brought my journal, a good book and rested today. More pics to come when I get home because the internet is super slow here. For now... … [Read more...]

VERNON “THE STREET POET”

Last night I was commissioned to do a surprise photo shoot for a friends birthday. Her boyfriend went to great lengths to surprise her. More coming on that in my next post. While waiting for the signal I decided to go and walk around downtown Dallas. The night started with a homeless man needing some food and a bus ticket...so I much obliged. Then as I sat and waited a man walked by and asked me if I liked poetry. Right away I was intrigued. I took the bait and said "sure." He handed me a paper back book of poems that he had printed. He turned to a page and then asked me to read as he recited it to me. Word for word he recited that poem about his journey back from drug addiction. I then asked him his story. For the next 30 min. or so he told me all about himself. I learned that this was one of three books that he had written and self published. He sells them on the streets a few times a week for some extra cash and the opportunity to get his story out there. I was remiss that I had … [Read more...]
