“BEEP…BEEP…BEEP…BEEP…BEEP…” That was the sound that I heard first thing on this overcast Saturday morning. 6:15am on a Saturday? What on earth could get me out of bed at an hour like that on a Saturday morning? Well…glad you asked. Today was the day that I would get the privilege to shoot the pictures for some of my favorite people.

I rolled out of bed, got ready, and headed out the door.

Gear was packed and the morning was warm. I pulled into Starbucks at 6:35am and ordered my tall, 5 shot, four splenda, americano. Don’t judge, you have your “thing” too. I sat down with my coffee and simply waited. It was quiet. I was the only one in there. I thought through my day, the photo shoot, the locations. Then my mind just simply…went blank. It was nice. I just listened to the sounds of an early morning coffee shop. I listened to the Barista’s share life and laugh.

Roger was the first to show up. We sat and enjoyed each others company. Then one by one the rest of the band showed up. Next was Chris, then Rob and his beautiful wife Anna, then my assistant Cal, and last but not least James.

We piled into two cars and headed to the first of our three locations. All of them were pretty close together and I have been anticipating using all three of these spots for quite some time. The guys were laid back. The atmosphere was relaxed. The sky was overcast and the shoot went well.

With all this said…let me introduce you to the Robert Gotcher Band. If you do not own their album “Change” then you should go and buy it now. There is no excuse, I even gave you a link go ahead and click it…go ahead…I will wait…

…GOOD!!! Now here is my favorite image of the day!!!

And one more with a little more artistic flair.

Hope you have enjoyed these guys. Now listen to their album until you cannot get these songs out of your head.
