Today was an incredible day. I the midst of a seemingly crazy week in the DeVage household, God has never left us or let us down. The week started with Ella getting sent home from school with a fever. The next day we found out she had strep throat. Thursday the "Arctic Blast 2010" shut down the metroplex, or as I like to call it, "Cold Pavement 2010." We also found out that day that our other daughter Natalie had a double ear infection and strep throat as well. Just when I thought we were coming out of it, I bent over to some cheese out of the fridge...yes that's right...cheese...and threw my back out. For whatever reason we were not shaken or discouraged. In fact my anticipation of the weekend was higher than ever before. I fully expected for God to show up in some huge ways. Here are a few highlights for ya. PEOPLE I LOVE: PART 2 ROB GOTCHER
Here is the second installment of "People I Love" posts. Today I feature an individual that has become one of my best friends over the past two years. I don't know if you have ever had one of those people that simply speaks encouragement and love into your life on a consistent basis, but Rob is that person for me. He has pushed me in areas that I never knew I could be pushed in. He has believed in my gifts and talents and has continually helped me take the appropriate steps to make some of those gifts and dreams a reality. He is always cultivating things in me that I never even knew existed. Rob is an incredible husband to his wife Anna, phenomenal father to his kids Nicole and Ben, an unbelievable man of faith and integrity, an unreal musician and worship leader, and most importantly a man of Christ. Today I had the awesome opportunity to shoot photos of a new friend from Austin. His name is Michael Mayfield and he is the brother-in-law of my good friend Rob Gotcher.
