In the time we have lived here we have never seen temperatures and winter weather quite like this. Today has been the perfect day to get my kids out of the house and play in the white powdery stuff. Was nice to get away from the cabin fever for a couple of hours. What have you done today to enjoy the weather that you can do nothing about?

Twelve hours later and we arrived in the frozen, snow covered tundra of the mid-west.

Yesterday was the perfect day and we headed out in the snow with the girls for what would be a great day of playing and fun. Here are some pics and a video of our day. Hope you enjoy.

The beauty was that my mom came and rode along too. It was so relaxing. It was the first time in a long time that I got to spend that much time with the two of them at once. It was special too because yesterday was Veteran’s Day and my dad is my favorite veteran. My dad served in the 101st Airborne division in Vietnam. He was a Sargent E-6, was a green beret and earned a purple heart. He fought for my freedoms. He fought for your freedoms. He made our world a better place. It was fitting that yesterday I got a few moments to simply honor my pops. I love him and know if you have met him you do too!!!
