a few months ago i had the great privilege of shooting the wedding of a couple of my favorite people. i have known hannah since she was in 8th grade and it felt like i was watching my sister get married. i have loved getting to know her new husband blake and i am stoked to see what their marriage holds. here are some of my favs from the wedding. hope you enjoy.

i met zach when he was a sophomore in high school. around two years ago i met a girl who was his new girlfriend. the story goes like this…zach brought her up to introduce her to me and apparently i looked at her and before i said “hi, nice to meet you,” or anything else i said “you have awesome eyes and i want to photograph you.” awkward i know, but i’m a photographer and when you look at the pics below you will understand why. she has killer eyes and zach has a swagger unlike any other that i know. i am stoked for these two and hope you enjoy the pics. good luck to zach and ashley and their october wedding.

last weekend i had the privilege to shoot a wedding for a dear friend of mine and her new husband. it was literally out in the middle of nowhere, texas. the weather was perfect and the setting was unreal. it was an outdoor wedding with the reception in a barn. it was one of the coolest places to shoot. here are a couple preview photos. trust me…there are a lot more to come.

Yesterday I had the privilege of shooting some photos for my boy Cal Knapp. If you have ventured around these parts very often then you have probably seen the occasional photo of him. However, believe it or not, this is the first legit shoot we have actually done for him. He was in need of some new photos for some promo stuff he needed and we both had a vision for what this could look like. I have to say that it surpassed both our expectations with the finished product. Here are a few of my favs from yesterday:

The title of this post may lead one to think that I took a picture of trees…

However you could not be more wrong. Even though I do love the occasional picture of woodland goodness, these photos are actually of my good friends Ben and Crystal Woods. I have known this fine looking couple for the better part of 13 years now and have to say that I love them more and more as time goes on. Ben and I spent a brief time of life traveling and playing music, but have spent even more time enjoying life and pouring into each other. While in the frozen tundra of Illinois I got to spend a day taking some rad new pics for my friends and their family. Check em’ out.

The Gotcher’s are one of those families that I know that I will be friends with the rest of my life. Three years ago they commissioned me to take their family photos when I was first starting out in photography and today was our annual moment in time to shoot some more photos of their rockin looking family!!! For all of you that hang out and lurk here this one is for my beautiful bride. These are long exposure shots taken in Crested Butte, CO last night at around midnight. Light was drawn with my iphone during the exposure. These are fun to do. More coming tomorrow. I hope you enjoy!!!
