Today was an incredible day. I the midst of a seemingly crazy week in the DeVage household, God has never left us or let us down. The week started with Ella getting sent home from school with a fever. The next day we found out she had strep throat. Thursday the “Arctic Blast 2010″ shut down the metroplex, or as I like to call it, “Cold Pavement 2010.” We also found out that day that our other daughter Natalie had a double ear infection and strep throat as well. Just when I thought we were coming out of it, I bent over to some cheese out of the fridge…yes that’s right…cheese…and threw my back out. For whatever reason we were not shaken or discouraged. In fact my anticipation of the weekend was higher than ever before. I fully expected for God to show up in some huge ways. Here are a few highlights for ya.

We started a new series called “First Person” and talked about the name YAHWEH today. It was my favorite message I have the privilege to communicate.

We had amazing volunteers that showed up at 6:30am in the 14 degree weather to unload trailers and set up…and they were HAPPY!!!

Our set up crew was amazing. I have never seen people so loyal and excited to make church happen.

We had 116 people in the building first hour…UNBELIEVABLE!!!

We had 25 kids in our first hour kids programming. WAY TO GO ROBIN NAGENGAST!!!

Our students had 12 students in their gathering first hour…JUSTIN BAIR IS A STUD…Very proud of him.

Worship was so good and so intense today…ROB GOTCHER BROUGHT IT!!! His team was unreal today.

Jeremy Peterson, our campus pastor, is hands down one of the greatest men that I know. You have no idea how much he blesses me week in and week out.

Robyn Crocker did a great job at getting all the stuff done this week that nobody else wants to do…SHE ROCKS!!!

Second service rocked my world to the core.

There were some people in service today that I was told would never show up to a church…GUESS WHAT? They did!!!

Felt the presence of the Spirit of God descend on me while preaching today like never before.

My Favorite moment during the message was when God gave me this statement- “The only people that care about programs in church are Christians. Non-Christians don’t care about our programs. All they want is to see God.”

Our tear down crew got locked and loaded in record time today. You will never know how much I love and appreciate the team of volunteers that serve joyfully and faithfully every week.

CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT WEEKEND!!! WEEK TWO OF OUR FIRST PERSON SERIES!!! Message is called “ELOHIM.” DON’T MISS IT!!!

Have a great week…cannot wait to see you all next weekend. What was the highlight of your weekend?
