DADDY IS WRECKED BY YOU!!!

6TH2

Yesterday may have been the best day I have had in a long time. How so you may be asking? Yesterday I took the day off and spent the day pouring into my little girl on her 6th Birthday. The day was unreal... Where do you want to go Ella? That was the question... "PANERA...for breakfast..." So off we went!!! We laughed, giggled and talked... Now where sweet heart? "Lets visit mommy at work..." Great...mommy was surprised and we laughed, giggled, and talked... Now what baby? "Can we go to the mall and shop?" Absolutely!!! "Can I get a new pair of shoes daddy?" Yes baby!!! "Can we eat lunch at Gehngis Grill?" Sure beautiful...lets rock it. "Can we watch Alice In Wonderland in 3D?" Lets do it. "Daddy, can we get popcorn with butter and good stuff on it?" Rock n' Roll baby. "Daddy...this was THE BEST DAY EVER!!!" You have no idea baby...daddy has been completely and utterly wrecked by your beauty, innocence, love, and affection. I gave up a day for you to see how much … [Read more...]

MY HONOR STUDENT CAN BEAT UP YOUR HONOR STUDENT

ELLAPROJECT

This week my baby girl Ella is student of the week at school. She has had to do this poster with pictures of what represents her and her life. There are about 8 or 9 pictures that she picked. I could not be MORE PROUD of my sweet daughter. We worked on this project together tonight and I am excited about the girl that my baby is becoming. I am also sad that my precious first born is starting to seem so grown up. She is a wonderful, smart, beautiful, caring, and loving little girl with a compassion for others. When I asked her what picture was her favorite tonight, she pointed to the one of our family and said, "I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!" We love you too baby!!! … [Read more...]

So with the iphone she became a movie star. Then she made me edit and post it. So...here ya go!!! … [Read more...]

DEAR ELLA,

ella1

Today you turned five years old. I cannot believe that you are five. I will never forget the day that you were born. I was scared to death. Scared that I would not know how to take care of you. Scared that I would not be able to provide for you. Scared that I would not be able to love you the way you needed to be loved. Then it happened. I was handed your warm and new little body wrapped in a blanket. You looked and me and I swear you smiled at me... That was enough for me. All those fears subsided. I was now another offical member of the "wrapped around my little girls finger" club. I watched you grow, learn to eat solid food, learn to take your first steps, learn to laugh, learn to talk. The first time you uttered the word "daddy" my heart melted. I officially have a daddy's girl. I love how stubborn you are. I love how smart you are. I love how beautiful your sweet brown eyes are. I love how intent you get when you are determined to get something done. I love to hear you … [Read more...]

Daily Photo Journal March 22nd, 2009 Once again it is Sunday and I am spent. Going hard from 5am until about 2pm is always a long day. However, it is always so rich and fruitful. I love the people in Roanoke, TX that I get to minister with and for. It never ceases to amaze me at how genuine and eager they are to love unconditionally. Now as much as I love to minister to and with these people, at the end of the day the people that matter the most to me are the three ladies that live in my house. This week we have been working on Ella's penmanship for school. I do have to admit, for four years old she has incredible handwriting. I came home today and this was on the fridge. Now one of two things is going on here...1. My kid wrote a fat joke but disguised it as cute or... 2. She thinks her daddy is a ripped machine that can save and protect her. For the sake of daddy we are going to go with number 2. With that said, it makes a daddy proud to know that I could congratulate her wonderful … [Read more...]
